The 17th annual Tianmu Halloween Festival in Taipei successfully kicked off the weekend with the lively “Hundred Ghosts Night Parade” on October 25, followed by trick-or-treating at 250 participating stores on October 26. The festivities extended to Tianmu Sports Park and major department stores including Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, Sogo Tianmu, and Dayeh Takashimaya, which hosted costume booths, photo zones, and themed promotions.

At the Children’s New Paradise Amusement Park in Shilin, costumed visitors received free admission from October 24 to 26, with special game cards and Halloween-themed snacks offered to children under 12. The park reported record attendance, particularly on the final weekend.

Meanwhile, Leofoo Village Theme Park in Hsinchu County ran its popular event, “The Undead Waltz: Renee’s Masquerade,” from September 6 to November 20, 2025. The park featured daily day and night parades in Tombstone Town, a newly launched haunted house called “Curse Mine,” and weekend trick-or-treating sessions for children. Visitors in costume received discounted entry and were eligible to compete in costume contests, with prizes including a one-night stay at the resort.

In Tainan, the Hai’an Halloween Party transformed Hai’an Road into a bustling costume carnival from October 25–26, drawing thousands with live performances, pop-up markets, and costume contests open to both children and pets. Adults Nightlife & Parties

 

The adult Halloween scene in 2025 was electric, with major clubs and venues hosting all-night events. Tiger Mountain in Taipei drew massive crowds for “Resurrected 16: Disco of the Dead” on October 25, featuring three costume contests with a total prize pool of US$20,000. Three DJ stages played genres ranging from techno and house to Afrobeats and vinyl sets, keeping the party alive until dawn.

Brass Monkey in Zhongshan District held its Hollywood Horror Halloween Party, featuring a photo booth, drink specials, and a costume contest with NT$2,500 prizes for “sexiest” and “best dressed” categories. Special Highlights & Cultural Events

 

A standout cultural moment was the 50th-anniversary screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Shin Kong Cinemas in Ximen on October 31. Organized by Time Warp Taiwan, the event encouraged fans to dress as characters from the cult classic or wear “fabulous, scary, or awesome” costumes. The screening sold out weeks in advance, with tickets available via KKTix, and included audience participation, props, and live shadow cast performances.
