Studio 94 Presents : Kanta Portraits (WIP) – Jeffrey Lim’s Exhibition

Every so often an exhibition comes along that immediately captivates and charms viewers because of its behind-the- scenes narrative. Such is the case with the Kanta Portraits exhibition. This story is about a young man from Kuala Lumpur and his box camera. The young man’s name is Jeffrey Lim, and he has been traveling around Malaysia since 2014 taking portraits of people in market places, villages, indigenous and border communities, using an old-style box camera which he made from recycled tin.
